Let’s start off with the representation in this book. Also, it’s a boy-girl friendship book where there’s no romance. Overall, this is a book that brims over with hope. Alice Oseman’s newest YA novel Radio Silence is the quirky, poignant and unforgettable story of two British teens, Frances Janvier and Al ex Last, who make a podcast together. This is one of those books that I’ve read and its characters and messages have stayed with me. If you enjoy books that have queer protagonists, a whole lot of wit, even more heart, media elements and capture the essence of being a nerdy, overachieving teen…well, you’re going to love this book. That’s it for this post, I hope you all enjoyed it! Next Friday I’ll be sharing the next ten so come back then.Radio Silence by Alice Oseman, HarperTeen, 496 pp.Ĭontent Warnings: Emotional abuse, child abuse, depression, performance anxiety, death of a dog “Three dark sisters all fair to be seen, two to devour and one to be queen” Up last for this week is from a book I rated three stars… Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blakeģ1. “Wicked are the ways of women, especially a witch” Up now is from a sequel I started to read and then put down for now… Legendary by Stephanie GarberĪt 32 is a book I read very recently… Serpent and Dove by Shelby Mahurinģ2. “Desire fame and the city will make you a tragedy” “To the stars who listen and the dreams that are answered”Īt 34 is from a book I’m anticipating to be a five star read… Ace of Shades by Amanda Foodyģ4.
